This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced medical environment.

• Remove sutures and rebandage patients’ feet according to physician orders.
• Assist with patient triage as needed when clinical staff members are occupied with scribing or patient care.
• Assist physicians with in-office surgical procedures.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment and procedure rooms.
• Help ensure patients receive professional, compassionate, and efficient care throughout their visit.
Practice & Administrative Operations
• Monitor clinical and office supplies and place orders as needed.
• Schedule patients for surgical procedures and coordinate necessary pre-operative requirements.
• Obtain insurance authorizations for procedures and surgeries.
• Complete disability and other required patient paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Respond to billing questions and queries, coordinating with appropriate team members when necessary.
• Provide backup phone coverage and assist with patient inquiries.
• Collaborate with the front desk, clinical staff, physicians, and billing team to maintain efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a medical office, specialty practice, or clinical environment preferred.
• Experience with practice management or electronic health record systems. Tebra experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance authorizations, medical billing processes, and patient scheduling preferred.
• Clinical experience with X-rays, ABI testing, wound care, or surgical assistance is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong commitment to patient service, confidentiality, and quality care.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and willing to step in wherever needed. This person should be equally comfortable assisting with a clinical procedure, coordinating a surgery, resolving an administrative issue, or supporting the front office. A team-oriented attitude and the ability to anticipate the needs of both patients and providers are essential for success in this role.
